Yay for new art!!! I don't care if we are not in October yet but still dig watching Halloween stuff and here i really dig how you drew this hot witch :)

As always kick ass concept and coloring.

I enjoy seeing all the little details when I look at the work a little closer - like the faces in the smoke. And I really dig the little jaggedy lines you put into the work, like the crooked hat tip and flicks of hair. Small details I guess but they give your work that extra "pizzazz" factor that makes it stand out from the crowd!
Not sure if you're into giving away your trade secrets but is your line work done on paper first then scanned in and coloured on the computer, or is the line work vector work from a program like Illustrator? I can't quite place how you achieve your final results. Anyway, whatever you do, you're doing it right because your body of work is really visually interesting and fantastic to look at. Love it.

Thank you so much, that was a really awesome comment to read. It makes me smile when people do appreciate and take notice of the little things.

Currently I am inking in Alias Sketchbook Pro.

I used to ink in photoshop.
Alias is alot more fluid, and gives you a better line.
Only problem with ALias is it seems you cant go higher than 200 DPI. So you gotta make the canvas super big to accomodate that. Then I save the TIFF as a PSD and colour in photoshop.

Inking in photoshop, or Alias.. or any other software is pretty much a pain in my ass.
Well actually more like a pain in my neck.
I'm always considering easier ways of doing it.

And if I could get the same clean lines with traditional inking I would totally skip to that in a heart beat.

Currently my traditional brush inking just takes me forever!!! So I'm sticking with the PC for now. ;)

Thanks so much for getting back to me Martin. Although I've been doodling and drawing little cartoons off-and-on all my life I've only recently been getting into the whole digital illustration thing in the past year. I haven't quite nutted out the whole drawing line work on the computer or with my tablet yet so am always keen to learn how others get by.
Thanks for the heads-up on Alias Sketchbook and it's advantages/disadvantages, I'll see if I can find a trial version of it somewhere to have a little play and experiment with. Again, I appreciate such an informative reply and wish you good luck with your future artistic endeavours, I look forward to seeing what else you will come up with!

No problem!

Ive never heard of anyone else inking in Sketchbook, so its probably not a conventional thing to do. lol

But its a fantastic program very very simplistic, and its great to sketch in. :)
